Harmony Hill Farm Engagement Session | Katie and Travis
Harmony Hill was the perfect spot for Katie and Travis to have their engagement photos in the fall foliage. We waited with anticipation that the rain would move out and then hold off and it did! We were so excited! Look how completely adorable they are together with their handsome four-legged boys. Dex is a K-9 Tracking Dog with Travis at the Belfast PD and is very, very fixated on his partner and trainer. Hunter is Katie’s boy, an old man with a mind of his own! Together they are completely different but still buds.
Katie and Travis actually went to High School together but never really knew each other. Travis was into sports and she wasn’t. As good fortune would have it, they both worked at the hospital and saw each other in passing a few times. Travis asked Katie’s friend if she was single and from there decided to ask her out.
Their first date was supposed to be a walk along the harbor. The little walk eded up being three hours of wandering back and forth on the foot bridge and harbor walk. Talking. Walking. Laughing. Getting to know each other and the beginnings of love, beautiful, love.
Being the gentlemen that Travis is, he went to Katie’s parents about two months before and asked permission to marry their daughter. What a guy! Vacationing in Leavenworth, meant a long flight with the ring hidden in his sock through security!!! Travis, as you can imagine was a mess. They headed out on a two hour drive to the mountains with what will soon to become her future brother-in-law, Jimmy. As Katie was admiring the beautiful mountains, Jimmy was recording on his phone. All became very quiet and Katie turned and noticed Travis down on one knee. Her dreams had come true. What was said and done after that split second is a blur.
Wedding planning can be such a fun time and seems to be going well. They are planning a September 2020 wedding at the beautiful Harmony Hill Farm in Warren, Maine. The Willow trees are hanging beautifully and the trees around the property are starting to turn those gorgeous colors we are all waiting for.
I had so much fun with this very sweet couple and their pups and am looking forward to sharing their love story with their friends and family next September. It seems so far away and yet it will creep up very quickly. Thank you for trusting me with so much!
