Out On the Town in Belfast Maine Best Friends | Halle and Eddie

Are you looking for some great ideas for date night in Belfast, Maine?  Look no further! This is what it looks like to go on a “Best Friends” date when you live in the beautiful coastal  town of Belfast Maine. Many thanks go out to Delvino’s, Brambles and Out on a Whimsey for their cooperation in making this photographer’s vision come to life.

These sweet kids are the best of friends just like their parents. One couple basically introduced the other couple to each other and now they have such a fantastic bond.  I have photographed the Ray family and the Dunham family previously and got to know their families a little more and what kept coming up to me time and time again was the sweet friendship that Halle and Eddie have.  They. Are. Adorable!

Seeing  reports of them waiting for each other at school to walk to class together and the little secret sharing that went on the day I was with them was so simple and so sweet.  This idea of a BFF date swirled in my head for weeks and both Moms were on board and thought it would be so much fun too!

We met at the Harbor in Belfast right near the Harbormaster’s office and set out for some cute beach photos.  Jumping, running and strolling along.  As we strolled the streets, a Senior Saint quietly chuckled and asked them if they had just gotten married?  Little Miss Halle set him straight and said “No, we are not mawwied”!  I just about died!

Next stop, Brambles to sit in the garden area and sip chocolate milk.  Toasting to friendship and exploring the beautiful flowers.  On her own Halle took it upon hereself to straighten Eddie’s bowtie, so adorable.  Then off to Delvino’s where the were served beautiful and tasty (I might have sampled a bit) traditional spaghetti dinner complete with bread, herbs and dipping oil and salad.  Eddie is such a gentleman, opening the door, pulling out the chair for Halle, men take note!  Belle was our beautiful server and let us just pile up the cheese, gladly.  The spaghetti was hot and did you get a look at how GIANT those meatballs were. Hard to bite but they certainly had fun trying! After filling their tummies what better way to end the date with a trip into the toy store “shopping”.

If we will admit it most adult dates end up at the grocery store. RIGHT??  Eddie and Halle shopped around and played with all the unique and fabulous toys and settled on Unicorn Sparkle Matter for Halle and Superhero Magic Pen Painting for Eddie.  They look pretty satisfied with their purchases.

I had so much fun and could not have asked for better models.  I believe when you are such good friends it is easy to document their love and friendship.  I missed a few secret tellings and giggles but no worries there were so many more to capture!

To the Dunham and Ray family, I pray you will always be such great friends and so supportive of your little ones in everything they do!  Thank you for indulging this photographers creative itch! It has been satisfied…for now anyways! Stay tuned for more fun!
