Vanessa and Phil chose a late summer wedding at the beautiful Blueberry Fields Bed and Breakfast in the quaint town of Washington Maine. What a perfect day despite a little rain to start off what will be the most memorable day so far in their lives. Vanessa’s smile is infectious especially when she looks at Phil and I caught the emotion that Phil was feeling for his bride as they stood side by side under the tent about to say “I Do” twice!!! I think they were a little anxious to become husband and wife to say the least.
I have known Vanessa for quite a while and the one thing I know is true of her is that she knows what she wants and goes for it! She has been very matter-of-fact with all her wedding decisions and kept it simple and elegant.
Phil is a quiet, gentle guy with a great.big.smile! He is witty and fun and because he is so quiet it is a little unexpected. One thing he is not shy about is his love for Vanessa. The two of them are just adorable together and I am so thankful to have been a part of this special time with them.
We had so much fun getting ready and trying to find dry spots. Vanessa’s shoes and my shoes were soaked after strolling around on the breathtaking rolling hills. By the time we got out to the field the cows had moved on but they were watching right up to the ceremony with anticipation as we all were!
I choked up when Vanessa danced with her dad closely and watched her wipe tears away in love and appreciation for him. So Tender! Two beautiful families becoming one as well when the happy couple committed themselves to one another.
No cake smashing for the Bride and Groom but her sister and the Best Man had their own idea of fun! As they raced around the tent, there was some cake slinging going on and let’s just say some might have ended up on a really beautiful white dress. Oops!
We had fun dancing the night away and celebrating the newly married Mr & Mrs Phillip Jenkins! I count it a privilege to know you both and to have been able to document such beautiful moments. I wish you so many more to come!
