Hope Maine Summer Garden Wedding at the Jones Apple Orchard | Hannah and Chris

It was one hot night for a summer wedding at the Jones Apple Orchard in Mid-Coast Maine; a night no one will soon forget!

If I had to describe Hannah and Chris’s wedding in one word it would be Joy.  Pure Joy!  Joy from the minute I arrived at Norumbega Inn in Camden where the girls were getting ready, to the Sparkler send-off in the Apple orchard in Hope.  Hannah and Chris are amazing people and I can see in their family and friends that surrounded them how they came to be so gracious and loving. The love and support they have, coupled with all the excitement made for one of the most perfect days for the newlyweds.

A few of the highlights for me was watching her grandfather walk her down the aisle and their sweet dance together when he told her she was a good dancer and twirled her on the dance floor.  I wore waterproof mascara for this wedding because I thought I needed it for the heat but NO; I needed it for their first dance and all the sweet toasts! I hardly ever cry at toasts! There were beautiful words shared, sweet accolades, stories of adventure and witness to a love blossomed to this very day that the happy couple get to spend forever together.  With the kind of people that Hannah and Chris are, it was no surprise to hear what a gentlemen Chris was to go out in the freezing cold to start Hannah’s BFF’s car when she came to visit because he just does that already for Hannah. The groomsmen challenged Hannah to prove she was “right” for Chris by taking a knee and chugging a cold one. A term coined “iced”!  Of course she took it very seriously and did her best to impress! I would say after that they approved, highly! Oh, what fun! Also very touching was how he told his mother that he had just met the “most beautiful girl” he had ever seen and was taking her out on their first date where they went hiking and shared a bottle of wine looking over the Camden Harbor. Sigh!

The genuine love for each other is evident in EVERY photo of them, along with their sweet girl, Piper.  I see excitement, love, respect, joy and gentleness. Just look at Hannah’s beautiful expressions and the big smile on Chris’s face.  Joy! Pure Joy!

On their wedding day, 364 days ago Chris asked Hannah the most important question of his life…to be his wife.  In his vows he said that the greatest gift she had given him was love and he didn’t know how he got so lucky and Hannah had similar words of feeling lucky and how she didn’t know the type of love existed until she met Chris, her “Soulmate”.  I can tell you one thing that I see in them consistently is putting the other first in everything they do. I saw it right from the beginning, from the planning of their wedding, to their freezing engagement session and him rubbing her hands to their wedding day making sure she had water and was hydrated! Very sweet!

Yes it was hot and I wasn’t at all mad that there was a beautiful breeze that was knocking stuff over as I photographed it!  And most importantly Yes, it was the best day of the Bride and Groom’s life as they became One and the new Mr & Mrs Christopher Josselyn!

The fact that they have trusted me from the beginning to tell their love story is a blessing!  I never take it lightly and want to give them everything in me on their special day. Thank you from the deepest place in my heart for allowing me in, trusting me and becoming my friend.  I could not be happier for you both. I am reliving your day as I look at each photo and it was my pleasure for you to be able to do the same in every photo I post! You both are the best!
