Harmony Hill Farm Maine Summer Wedding | Tabby and Sam
Upon arriving at Harmony Hill Farm in Warren, I felt a sense of peace and wonder for Tabby and Sam’s wedding day and all that was about to unfold. It was that and so much more! This very sweet couple could not be more right for each other in so many ways. They are like sunshine and rainbows and what a rainbow we had just before the ceremony. Isn’t that so fitting for them?
I found Tabby to be a picture of elegance with a deep sense of beauty and her groom to be a very gentle, kind man. She looked picture-perfect in her wedding gown; it fit her and her personality so well. One of my favorite photos to take is the grooms reaction when he sees the woman of his dreams walking down the aisle toward their forever. I think Sam might have been having a little trouble holding back his emotions as he saw Tabby and her sweet mother rounding the corner. From my angle, let’s just say, I think he was smitten as he stood under that gorgeous Willow tree taking it all in.
There is always a feeling of love and admiration between the two of them and I sensed it the entire day with their family and friends. Dancing their first dance as husband and wife in that barn with the sun shining down set the tone for the whole night. I always get teary when the Mother-Son, Father- Daughter dances come around but what really got me was the Mother-Daughter dance that Tabby surprised her mom with. Seeing the two of them together, wiping each other’s tears, hugging, then Tabby kissing her mom on the head. You made my job really hard in that small moment; I know for me, it was a big moment that all who witnessed will never forget! Toasts are always special to hear what the closest people have to say about the Bride and Groom’s love story. What stood out to me is Sam’s brother and Tabby’s sister toasting to their love in such a sweet way and welcoming their new member of the family with open arms. So much love and support for the newlyweds!
The element of surprise is always fun when determining the husband and wife will smash the cake while feeding each other. Their sweet little cake provided the excitement as all gathered close. Thank you, Sam, for not smashing Tabby with cake and vice versa so we weren’t cleaning frosting out of hair before we took more photos. So. Sweet!
This breath-taking venue was the backdrop for one of the most magnificent couples that share a love for each other that is undeniable. The reception was held in the former hay storage barn and you would never have known. Majestic. Graceful. Timeless. Every detail that Tabby and Sam poured into their day, every kind gesture toward their guests made the day so special. The food was just amazing especially the desserts! I may have had more than one little baby whoopie pie!
I am blessed to know you and to spend time with your family and friends. I always count it a privilege when asked to photograph a couple’s wedding. I want to do my very best to document the best day of your life and so it was for you both. Congratulations, you are now living the best days of your lives and have so many adventures in front of you to explore. It was truly a perfect day to become Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lanning!
