Alexis and Curtis celebrated their unforgettable wedding day at the stunning Sugarloaf Mountain Resort, nestled in the mountains of Carrabassett Valley, Maine. The fall foliage was at its peak, painting the landscape in brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold. Surrounded by friends and family, the couple exchanged vows in the charming Belle Chapel—a warm, intimate space with rustic wood beams, soft lighting, and floral arrangements that filled the room with rich autumn colors.
I love how they included their big fluffy Bernese Mountain dog, Winston, in their day. The girls had the fun idea to surround him with their flowers. He was so cute though he started to munch on them! Alexis kept him with her all day in a photo wrapped around her bouquet. A very sweet sentiment
Their wedding was a grand affair, with a large guest list and thoughtful details that brought the whole day to life. The floral design was especially striking—abundant arrangements in stunning colors dotted with cream flowed from every corner of the chapel and reception space, adding so much beauty. After the ceremony, guests gathered in the resort lodge, where mountain elegance met cozy charm. A room full of guests were seated at perfectly decorated round tables with candles and greenery set the scene for a delicious dinner, heartfelt toasts with tears, and the start of an unforgettable celebration.
One of my favorite scenes set before me was when the bride and her dad invited her younger sister to the father and daughter dance. The three of them instantly brought tears to my eyes, and very quickly more Fathers and Daughters were invited to join them. Young and old danced with their daddies and it was so very tender. Then, if that wasn’t sweet enough, the Mother and Son dance also turned into their guests turning out onto the dance floor to join them with their own mother or father.
As the evening rolled on, the party truly came alive. Lively music kept the dance floor in full swing. The guests really enjoyed the laser foam sticks from old to young.
The weather stayed clear and crisp, perfect for guests to enjoy fireside cocktails and lots of laughter. Alexis and Curtis’s wedding was a beautiful, mountain-top beginning to the next chapter of their love story. I am so excited to see it all unfold for them.
