Engagement Fort Point State Park Maine | Janell and Nick
The most amazing sky is always after the storm and that is what happened for Janell and Nick at Fort Point State Park Lighthouse in Stockton Springs, Maine. They have planned and planned again for their amazing Summer wedding. The light was amazing and look at these two just smiling and having a fun time together thinking about how they will be married soon!
Janell and Nick met when their worlds collided at Whited Bible Camp when they went there in middle school. He had a “little” crush on her and the feeling was not mutual but as fate would have it Nick moved to her school district Janell’s Senior year. Seeing each other on a daily basis might have warmed Janell up to the possibilities but God was working on both of their hearts to get them to this point.
Jeremy Camp might have had a hand in it too as their first “date” was at a Jeremy Camp concert that Janell was helping out at her church. She worked the Merchandise table and he came to hang out with her. They continued to date; leaving notes for one another in their lockers which they still have and I hope they share with their children and grandchildren one day. How. Very. Sweet! They also still go and volunteer at the camp that first sparked the romance early on.
Their plans certainly shifted after college and just weeks before they were about to move to Tennessee and Nick planned to propose in the garden in Chattanooga as they planned to look for an apartment. So much excitement, too much in fact, Nick could not wait so he proposed before they left but still took her to the little garden and re-proposed.
As Covid hit, that gorgeous ring that Nick picked out, got stuck at the jewelry store for three months and their wedding was postponed for many reasons. As they near the 5 year mark in September they cannot wait to be married and start the life they have been dreaming about! I cannot wait either to capture the tender moments, the happy tears and all the cheers from your families.
